Detailed documentation covering technical, administrative, and legal inquiries.
1. The Basics
Alethman is a private, independent data infrastructure platform that processes and reconciles public procurement records from Indian government sources—including CPPP, GeM, and PFMS. We link separate records into unified profiles to provide transparency and spend visibility.
Government procurement systems are fragmented. Tenders, awards, contracts, and payments are stored in separate silos without shared database keys. Alethman resolves entities and cross-references transactions to provide a complete view of spend from budget demand to final disbursement.
2. Data & Methodology
We ingest records that are already publicly published by government agencies on portals such as the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP), Government e-Marketplace (GeM), and the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
When matching criteria are ambiguous, we isolate the join with a "Needs Review" tag rather than forcing a wrong match. Any identified errors can be submitted via our official correction protocol for verification.
3. For Government Buyers
No. Alethman operates strictly on public datasets. Departments can utilize the platform's spend analytics and tracking capabilities immediately, without installing local hardware or creating data bridges to internal networks.
4. For Vendors & Suppliers
Vendors cannot manually edit or overwrite transactional data since all information reflects official government registries. If primary source databases contain spelling variations or errors, we maintain both values to preserve provenance.
5. For Researchers & Press
Alethman provides structured access and custom dashboards for academic and public-policy research institutes on a case-by-case basis. We prioritize audits and official verification over open mass-download API endpoints.
6. Legal & Governance
No. Alethman is strictly a transaction-based data infrastructure platform. We process public institutional financial records and corporate entity data. We do not track individuals, monitor communication, compile biometric profiles, or engage in administrative surveillance.
7. About the Company
The name derives from two root concepts: aletheia (Greek for truth brought out of concealment) and maan (Sanskrit for measure). Combined, the name signifies: Truth, measured.
No. Alethman is an independent, privately owned company. We do not claim any official government ownership, partnership, or administrative affiliation.
