How it works
Thousands of articles in.
One clear picture out.
Alethman reads the news so your team doesn’t have to read all of it. Four steps turn a day’s coverage into stories you can act on, and every step leaves a trail you can check.
- Countries
- The United States and India in depth; the UK, Canada, France, Germany and more
- Sources
- Vetted national news outlets in each country
- Every finding
- Linked to the articles it came from
- Runs
- Hosted. Private deployment is scoped with you
Four steps, every day.
The same pipeline runs for every workspace. You choose what it reads; it does the reading.
-
01Read
Alethman pulls articles from vetted national news sources in every country you follow, and records where and when each one was published.
-
02Group
Articles about the same event become one story, so two hundred headlines are one thing to read. The people, places and organizations in them are matched across articles.
-
03Score
Each story and each sector gets a reading: how much attention it is getting, how fast that is changing, and whether outlets disagree about what happened.
-
04Report
You see it on a map, in an inbox of alerts, and in reports you can print or share. Every number links back to the articles behind it.
Three ways to look at it.
01
The map
Coverage shaded by where it was reported, so a story building in one region shows before it reaches the national outlets.
02
The story
One event with all its coverage: the curve of how it spread, where it was placed, and who carried it across the political spectrum.
03
The inbox
Readings that crossed the threshold you set, each with a line on what changed. Read them, star them, or archive them.
Where it runs.
- Hosted
- You sign in to the hosted dashboard. We set up the countries, topics and people for your workspace.
- Private deployment
- For government and other sensitive work, we can deploy Alethman inside your own cloud or network. We scope it with you.
- Reports
- Any view can be compiled into a report to print or share, with the sources listed at the end.
What it won’t do.
Alethman shows you what is being said and how it is spreading. It doesn’t decide what is true, it doesn’t take sides, and it doesn’t write anyone’s message for them.
It reads open, lawful sources and data you are entitled to hold. It doesn’t read private messages or profile private individuals. Every search is logged against the person who ran it.
Our six commitmentsSee it on the stories you follow.
Tell us what you need to keep track of. We’ll set up a workspace on your countries and topics and walk you through it in 30 minutes.
